Kind of funny how this year, we are living in a much bigger house, but had to get a much smaller Christmas tree than usual.
Last weekend, we headed out to the Christmas Tree Farm to tag our Christmas tree. Last year we went the second weekend that they were open and were disappointed in the selection of trees that they had left.
This year we went the first day and got the perfect tree.
In the past our trees have been 10-12 feet tall. At the old house we had vaulted ceilings so our mentality was: the bigger, the better! We have lots of places in the new house where we could put a big tree, but we want the tree to be in the room where we can enjoy it the most. Our living room only has 10 foot ceilings, so we went with an 8 foot tree. This way we will still have room for our star.
Seth absolutely loved running around at the tree farm. Luckily Zach came with us to chase him around. I can only imagine how easy it could be to lose a kid in there.
I can’t wait until December so we can bring our tree home and start decorating!

Your new home is going to look so beautiful this Christmas! I'm hoping you get a little snow to make it just perfect.
