Ft. Lauderdale

The time had finally come for Kyle and Kirstin to get married.  We left Wednesday, November 10th for Ft. Lauderdale.  We spent a few days there for the wedding before leaving for 7 beautiful days in the Caribbean.

Our first day in Florida was pretty uneventful.  We were all so tired from flying all night that we checked into our rooms and enjoyed a nice long nap.  Stephen and I had to find a Target so we could buy some necessary items that we couldn’t fit in out suitcases (diapers, formula, wipes, baby food, etc.).  We had lunch and just relaxed the rest of the day.DSC_0301

Friday was the big day.  My mom, Kelly, Kirstin, and Diane went and had their make-up done in the morning, while the boys went to pick up the cake and chairs.  The wedding took place on the beach right in front of our hotel.  We could actually see it from our room.

The wedding was beautiful. The ceremony was short and sweet, then we took some pictures and then enjoyed dinner and cake at Bubba Gumps.  Poor Stephen caught mine and Seth’s stomach flu, so he skipped dinner.

On Saturday we went to Billie’s swamp land and took a swamp buggy ride.  We couldn’t do the airboat ride because Seth was not allowed.  He fell right asleep on the bumpy swamp buggy ride and slept through the whole thing.  It was really neat, we got to see all kinds of animals.  Water buffalo, bison, pigs, deer, alligators, and all kinds of birds.

Saturday night we took a water taxi into town and had dinner.  It was a great ending to our time in Florida.  On Sunday morning we left for Miami to get on our cruise ship.  Another post will follow soon with all of our cruise details!
