Pismo Beach

We made it to Pismo, camped for 5 days, and made it back…ALIVE!  The trip took us close to 8 hours each way between stopping to feed the baby, traffic, and letting Seth out to run around.  It was definitely nice to arrive on Wednesday because we were able to camp right on the ocean. 

Seth loved playing in the sand.  I was worried that we were going to have a hard time keeping him out of the ocean, but he loved the sand so much that he never even realized that we were on the water.

The weather was cold, and WINDY!!  We spent most of the day on Thursday and Friday in the trailer.  The wind was blowing sand everywhere.  Poor Stephen had to go out and dig up all of Seth’s sand toys from under at least a foot of sand.

Saturday (Stephen’s birthday) was beautiful!  The weather was perfect.  The sun came out, and there was just enough wind for Stephen to be able to fly his kite.  We BBQed rib eyes for dinner and had a fire right on the beach.  It was a perfectly relaxing day!

I will admit, I was not all that excited to take this trip.  I was worried about camping with a 16 month old and a 7 week old.  It definitely had it’s moments, but we had a great time and I am glad we went.
