So today was my second day with my new class. The first day is always so hectic, especially with all the nerves and anticipation leading up to it. I was very afraid that my new class would not be able to live up to my expectations. Last years class was so perfect! This years group is great too...a little hyperactive, but I am trying to whip them into shape. I have 21 students (I should only have 20) and of course for like the first time in history...every single student showed up on the first day! I think that all of the 3rd grade teachers agree that this year will be a long one! Only one hundred seventy eight days until summer! Hip Hip..Hooray!!!!

Work updates
Nothing too exciting around our house these days. Stephen went to the lake this past weekend for their annual Guys Trip. I go back to work tomorrow and I am not to thrilled! I can't really complain because when it comes down to it, I only work half the year (180 days). I would much rather not work at all, but I think we all know that I would drive myself and Stephen crazy if that happend! I will have 3 days to get my room ready, sit in super fun meetings, lesson plan, etc. Then I will get to meet my new class next Monday the 25th. I am a bit nervous only because I had a wonderful class last year. I am afraid that I won't be so lucky this year.
Stephen is finishing his last week of ARCO school. He is having to drive back and forth to La Palma every day. Luckily he is taking his motorcycle to miss some of the traffic. When he finishes, he will have a few weeks off and then he takes over The week of September 16th. Thats all for now!

Guestbook and Other Happenings
Hey everyone, we added a guestbook to the bottom of our blog. Be sure to say hi before you leave, we love to know who is visiting!!!
Today Stephen started his training for Arco. He has to complete 2 weeks of in-store training, then he will have to complete one week of classroom training in La Palma. What a yucky drive he will have!!! Other than that he is working on getting the beer and wine permits changed over into his name. Escrow is expected to close on his gas station in September. His loans have all been approved so now we are just waiting.
As for me...I have to go back to work on Monday. I have a five day training on our new Math textbooks, then I have a couple days off and I go back to work for good on August 20th. Two months sure does fly by!!!

Stephen and I were married on July 9, 2005. We spent a few years traveling before adding to our precious family Seth Allen was born on April 15, 2010. Our lives will never be the same. We find so much joy in watching him grow and change every day.
